Welcome!
Welcome to The Abbey Today, a collection of photographs taken in July 2006 of the remains of the Abbey of Thelema, founded in 1920 by Aleister Crowley and Leah Hirsig in the small town of Cefalu, Sicily. The house, part of an old sicilian villa once called Santa Barbara, still stands -- but in really poor condition as the pictures attest.
All images by Luigi Santos-Hammarlund.

great pics and commentary, I am glad to have a very modern view of the abbey, so props!
Thank you so much for posting these photos and commentary. Truly a very good job, the only other times I have seen the abbey it has been dark are poorly done. Truly a great respect for such an powerful site.
Thank you for an excellent update on the Abbey. Why hasn't it been made into a museum yet? The building MUST be saved. It is a unique and eccentric artifact.
Many thanks, again! I must visit Cefalu in the next few years.
Best wishes,
The Mystic Traveller

Hi Wei Li,
Just look for the municipal stadium. The abbey is next to it. You can see the abbey on Google Maps here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=202794067989964799078.0004d498a84dc9eacc544&msa=0&iwloc=0004d498a84f5377500cf
